

The Hong Kong ICT Awards was established in 2006. It is the most recognised and longest-standing information technology award in Hong Kong. It aims at recognising and promoting outstanding local information and communications technology (ICT) inventions and applications, thereby promoting constant innovation and pursuit of excellence in the entire ICT industry.
There are eight categories under the HKICTA 2025. There will be one Grand Award in each category, and an “Award of the Year” will be selected from the eight Grand Awards by the Grand Judging Panel. In addition, in a bid to foster the innovative use of artificial intelligence (AI), the “Best Use of AI” award winner will be selected in each of the eight categories to magnify and honour outstanding achievements in harnessing the power of AI in respective areas.

Organised by the Digital Policy Office of the HKSAR Government, the 2025 Hong Kong ICT Awards features eight Award Categories, and applications are now open!
GS1 Hong Kong (GS1 HK), The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF), and Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA) will jointly host an online briefing session to introduce four of the Award Categories, covering application procedures, award details, and registration methods. Smart People Award
2025 Hong Kong ICT Awards: Smart People Award is established to recognise innovative development of ICT products / solutions or ICT/ AI-enabled services. This year, there are three award streams, and from the shortlisted entries across these streams, the “Best Use of AI” award will be selected.

Smart Transformation (Solution for Charitable Sector)
To enable charitable institutions achieving higher operation productivity and efficiency, improving client experience, service effectiveness and quality, and ultimately enhancing the quality of life of their targeted clients.

Smart Ageing
To enable independent living and social participation of elderly people in good health, comfort and safety, which is believed to be an important factor to achieve “ageing in place” and to enhance the sustainability of an ageing society

Smart Empowerment
To address unique challenges faced by the underprivileged in the community, to improve their circumstances and quality of life, safeguard their right in social participation, and no one being marginalized in the smart city development
